Never lose another job to voicemail.

Toby texts back every call you miss, has the conversation, and books the quote into your calendar — while you're still on the job.

What every caller sees, automatically.

Give him a go

Toby
  • Toby: G'day — Toby here from Demo Plumbing. What's the job?

The real model in a sandbox — nothing you type books anything.

You keep working.

Divert your missed calls to Toby's number. That's the only thing that changes.

Step one

They ring. You're busy.

You're under a house or up a ladder, so the call rings out and diverts to Toby. Nothing about the way you use your own phone changes.

Step two

Toby texts them back.

In seconds1, before they scroll to the next tradie. It asks what the job is, where it is, and when suits them.

Step three

The quote lands in your diary.

The visit is written straight into Google Calendar2, and you get a text with their name, address, and mobile number.

Step three, on your phone.

3rd booking this week

What Toby texts you the moment a job is saved.

It won't embarrass you.

The careful part is most of what Toby is.

Double-booking

Two jobs can't take one slot.

Your calendar and your existing bookings are checked in the same locked step that saves the job, so two callers saying yes at once can't both get nine o'clock.

Honesty

It can't invent a booking.

Toby is only allowed to say a customer is booked once the job has actually saved. If it hasn't, the customer is told so and asked again.

Emergencies

It knows a burst pipe.

Gas, flooding, or no power, and Toby stops trying to book a quote. It tells the caller who to ring right now3.

The law

Stop means stop.

Anyone who replies STOP is opted out on the spot and never texted again, which is what the Spam Act asks of every message you send4.

It sounds like your business.

Not a chatbot with your name stuck on the front of it.

Your trade

Written around your work.

Your hours, your suburbs, and the jobs you don't take are set before Toby answers a single call. It books quote visits, not the work itself.

Setup

Set up with you, not sent to you.

Six questions about how you work, over the phone, then it's running. There is nothing to install and nothing to learn.

Your number

Your own Australian mobile.

A real +61 mobile number that takes the diverted call and carries the conversation. Your own number stays exactly as it is.

One price.

Set up for your trade, then left alone to work.

A$399 a month

One recovered job pays for months of Toby. A hot-water swap is two to four thousand dollars — a single one he catches covers five to ten months.

Per business. Setup included. Early pricing, subject to change before general availability.

  • Your own Australian mobile number
  • Written around your trade, suburbs, and hours
  • Google Calendar, both ways
  • Booking, cancellation, and reschedule alerts
  • Customer reminders the day before
  • Every text included5

Get started Get in touch

  1. Reply times are measured in internal testing and depend on the mobile network. Toby replies to a missed call, it does not answer the call itself.
  2. Requires a Google account. Two-way sync means anything you enter in your own calendar also blocks Toby from offering that time.
  3. Toby is not an emergency service. It sends the caller the emergency number you nominate, or 000.
  4. Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Toby records the opt-out and blocks every later message to that number, including bookings and reminders.
  5. Fair use. Daily message limits apply to stop an automated caller running up a bill, and sit far above ordinary trade volumes.
